“The JVC’s colours are an excellent combination of vibrancy and subtlety.”
“The JVC has one of the most balanced pictures you are ever likely to see.”
“…the HD100’s D-ILA technology doesn’t seem to generate any noise at all.”
I genuinely believe it’s difficult to see how JVC will be able to improve things further for future generations of it’s wire grid/D-ILA technology. But that doesn’t prevent me from looking forward to see the brand try
But at the end of the day with three high quality projectors in my room at the same time as this review sample, time and time again I found myself switching on the HD100 to sit back and watch a movie, and I think that says everything that needs to be said. Reference Quality at its best.
"The richest and most detailed response that we have seen on a sub-£10,000 projector."
"The D-ILA revolution continues apace with another extraordinarily good home cinema projector."
In its latest incarnation, JVC’s D-ILA projection technology again sets new standards in home theater imagery. An astonishing picture contrast sets the DLA-HD100 apart from its competition, but its broad and neutral reproduction of colours, transparent video DSP and flawless handling of 1080p/24 signals are no less impressive.
For the truth is that this projector is even better than the already outstanding HD1, and as such arguably rates as the best projector money can buy without stepping up to a three-chip DLP model.
